Congratulations to all the runners of the NYC Marathon 2014! We’re almost rookies in the art of running but in this article we will show you our favorite places to run in our beloved city; just in case you’re thinking about starting to train.

CENTRAL PARK: The first place where everyone in NYC should run once is Central Park, a huge green and relaxing space between the crowded Manhattan. The best hour to run in the park is when it’s closed to the traffic from 10AM to 3PM and from 7PM to 10PM, during the week or during the weekends. Our favorite spot is the Reservoir loop around the lake, with spectacular city views, especially in sunny days.

HUDSON RIVER GREENWAY: Whether heading north towards Riverside Park or south towards Battery Park, the stretch along the Hudson River is one of our favorites running spots! The views are amazing, especially during the sunset.

PROSPECT PARK: In Prospect Park you have different loops to run as long as you like. We prefer to run the park’s interior instead of the main drive surrounding the park, because it’s a really cute path.

FORT GREENE: In Fort Greene you may run the main loop around the park, but we love the option of the Fort Greene Park steps, a great way to liven up your training.

ASTORIA PARK: Have you ever seen the views of Manhattan from Astoria Park? You must do it at least once! You can take in views of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge and Hell Gate Bridge from Shore Boulevard. The views are amazing, specially at the late afternoon hours.
