Review of our first #TheLineBtwnParties: Website Launch Party + Introducing FIUNYC

Last Thursday, September 24, TheLineBtwn hosted its first #TheLineBtwnParties at WeWork Soho West!

Last Thursday, TheLineBtwn hosted its first #TheLineBtwnParties at WeWork Soho West. We were celebrating the launch of the new website of the General Consulate of Spain in New York, one of our favorite partners. We also took this opportunity to introduce FIUNYC!

Believe us when we say the party was a huge success!!! We showcased the website to an engaged crowd, learnt about FIUNYC’s projects and wrapped up the evening enjoying music provided by an awesome DJ, Mikëy Hefez, while having great food and wine or beer (OR both!). Truly, it was a blast!

We started the evening with an overview by Álex Gargallo, TheLineBtwn’s co-founder, about the key aspects of the Consulate’s website redesign. She showed us the new sections, like the new home page, the agenda or the new section “Talking Sites” that showcases places in New York related to Spanish culture and history. Alex’s presentation was followed by an intervention by Alberto Merlo, Cultural Affairs Officer at the Spanish Consulate, who highlighted the importance of the website to promote all the activities and events they organize.

Then, we gave the floor to FIUNYC! Humbert Clotet and Georgina Capdevila introduced the work of six talented designers that showed their work and talked about their creative processes. FIUNYC is a great platform aimed to help promoting young artists and TheLineBtwn is happy to be able to help them to showcase their work! We are looking forward to finding new opportunities to collaborate with them!

To wrap things up, we enjoyed ourselves over wine, Spanish beer, snacks and a kick-ass DJ! You can take a peek at how much fun we had on our Facebook page!

Follow us on our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) if you do not want to miss any of our cool events. Just to give you a heads up, we are planning new #TheLineBtwnTalks and, most likely, another party before the end of the year. More details soon! Stay tuned and have a happy Friday!
